No Doubt back to work! tour plans!

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 12:22 PM PST [General]

After a 4 year hiatus...a marriage and 2 babies...Gwen & the boys are back at it!! And plan to hit the road next year!

No Doubt Gets Back to Work, Plans Tour | Gwen Stefani
"I don't think we should wait. Pack up the babies and get a bunch of nannies. So fun! Would be so inspiring to get out there and play all those songs again," Gwen Stefani wrote in a band chat on No Doubt's Web site Friday night. "We need to play. It's been too long," wrote bassist Tony Kanal. "I feel like it's time for some rock and roll." Although the band has not announced any cities or dates, sources says the tour will likely kick off in summer 2009.No Doubt - whose members have been together for more than 20 years - is also preparing to start work on its first studio album since 2001's Rock Steady. During their hiatus, Stefani, 39, released two solo albums and became a mother two sons Kingston and Zuma. Guitarist Tom Dumont, 40, also focused on a side project, Invincible Overlord, got married and welcomed sons Ace and Rio. Kanal, 38, produced music for other artists including Pink and Stefani. And drummer Adrian Young, 39, toured and recorded with other bands...why do I think the tour will kick off AND end in Anaheim?? yeah! ;)

Jeff Hardy Hospitalized- Sick Storyline or Bad Luck?

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 03:12 PM EST [General]

My initial reaction was 'DEAR GOD, YOU STUPID ASS!', but when I read more, it said 'How will this affect Survivor Series tonight?'...AOL news did a blurb on it, and there was not a great deal of info, where as in a storyline, they often crank out things like 'He has been acting suspiciously these past weeks'...plus, don't you think it's a little low? A recovered drug addict, suspended multiple times suddenly found ko'ed in a stairwell at 3 am? What do you make of this- is it 'We wish you good luck in your future endeavors' or another Edge-has-gone-to-hell, Vince-McMahon-is-seriously-injured-yet-at-an-ACDC-concert deal?

    Farm Story

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 03:10 PM EST [General]

A successful rancher died and left everything to his devoted wife. She was determined to keep the ranch, but knew very little about ranching, so she placed an ad in the newspaper for a ranch hand.

Two cowboys applied for the job. One was gay and the other a drunk.

She thought long and hard about it, and when no one else applied she decided to hire the gay guy, figuring it would be safer to have him around the house than the drunk.

He proved to be a hard worker who put in long
hours every day and knew a lot about ranching.

For weeks the two of them worked hard and
the ranch was doing very well.

Then one day, the rancher's widow said 'You have done a really good job, and the ranch looks great.
You should go into town and kickup your heels.'

The hired hand readily agreed and went into
    town on Saturday night.

He returned around 2:30 am, and upon entering the room, he found the rancher's widow sitting by the fireplace with a glass of wine, waiting for him.

She quietly called him over to her. 'Unbutton my blouse and take it off,' she said. Trembling, he did as she directed.

'Now take off my boots.' He did as she asked, ever so slowly.

'Now take off my socks.' He removed each gently and placed them neatly by her boots.

    'Now take off my skirt.'

He slowly unbuttoned it, constantly watching her eyes in the firelight.

'Now take off my bra.' Again, with trembling
hands did as he was told and dropped it to the floor.

Then she looked at him and said: 'If you ever
wear my clothes into town again, you're fired!'

Boris calls for an Amnesty for 400,000 illegals!

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 08:05 PM GMT [Politics]

"Tory mayor of London Boris Johnson has called for the legalisation of the immigration invasion with a call for a blanket illegal immigrant amnesty in London.

The Conservative London mayor is to launch a review into the feasibility of granting an amnesty to an estimated 400,000 people living illegally in London, which is expected to report in two months' time."

It is generally acknowledged that this country's borders are still extremely porous.

The system as it exists, is still allowing hundreds, if not thousands, of illegals into the country every week.

Should we be applauding Boris's initiative to grant an amnesty to those who sneaked in three, four or five years ago?

Should we be welcoming as equal citizens, those who broke the law getting in here and since striven to avoid being caught. Those who have never paid taxes (other than VAT) but use resourses such as housing etc., provided by legal residents.

Is Boris right to make this call?

ALIENTO DEL CIELO PARA CADA DIA

    Meditación Diaria: 11/23/2008 1:43:47 AM
    por RICARDO M. PUGLIESE

    PRINCIPIO

Just letting my mind wonder a bit.... oh yeah, it does that alot anyway... LOL ....

A bit frustrated at work.... I just don't understand closed minded hateful people....

I'm am worn out from worry from the terrible things they have said about me and the hate they created towards me.  All I do is mind my own business and am helpful to all. Why can't people look at a person's character instead of their religious beliefs, heritage, or sex?

    It's a Fine Life

Sunday, November 23, 2008, 07:58 PM GMT [General]

Last night was our annual visit to see the latest production by Sheffield Teachers Operatic Society.

This is not a commuity centre or village hall production but on the stage of the Lyceum Theatre.  It is a 'professional' society in standards, organisation, committment and performance. It produces, every year, a show to rival the professional shows on tour or in London.

Last night it was 'Oliver' in one of the last society performances before it returns to the West End. A wonderful show it was, too. The set first class as was the stage crew, the props and the cast. Keeley Kilby who played 'Nancy' would have done well on the recent talent show to select the performer for the London stage. She was excellent with a voice among the best I have heared.

Phil Brownhill played 'Fagin' in the style of Ron Moody and was a joy to watch, as were the other characters. Not a missed note or chord to be heared.

I must get out the CD of the original cast recording, I feel a song coming.

Yes, as one of the songs goes, 'It's a Fne Life.'
